Hello Saint Alums and Friends:

Greetings from your Alumni Office and blessings to you during the upcoming holiday season.  While I miss the hustle and bustle of a typical year of SHU in-person events, I am grateful that we have been able to keep in touch and offer some gatherings.  It was wonderful to have many of you join us on campus for Homecoming in October.  That fabulous #SaintsPride was and is alive and well.  I know you will join me in thanking our Alumni Board and Saintly Supporters for volunteering to keep all events running smoothly.  Mark your calendars for next year’s homecoming taking place on September 30-October 2, 2022.

Last year we were not able to host our annual dinner theatre event, but we are moving forward with plans to bring it back this spring!  Mark your calendars for April 9, 2022 and make plans to join us for a delightful dinner and fabulous production of Big Fish.  As you know, we have incredibly talented students and staff who put these productions together and with the recent updates to our facilities, it promises to be a truly magical night.

You might have heard that we are in the middle of our Saints-Connect.com alum/student mentoring month.  We put out the call and had an abundance of alumni mentors!  This is a great example of how you might choose to give back to Siena.  If you are interested in being a mentor for a current student, the Alumni Office and Career Services will offer mentoring month again in April.  As one alum recently shared: “This would have been a huge help to me when I was an art student!”  We will have more information about volunteering in your March Saints-Connect.com newsletter.

Thanks to our alumni and friends who chose to give back financially to Siena students on #GivingTuesday or another time during the last year.  We recognize times are difficult for everyone right now and we truly cherish the gifts we receive.  Think of the united impact we could have if all our 27,083 living alums made a $10 or larger gift!  If you are able, please show your #SaintsPride and help to make a difference for our students.

Please remember to keep in touch with me!  I love to hear of your life/spouse/family updates as well as address and email changes.  Please use this form to tell us what’s new.  Also, I have a special K-12 teacher/counselor/administrator project I am working on, so if you work in any of those roles, please send me a note with the name of your school and your title so I can update records and send out a special mailing.
